From the 02/10/1958 Sandusky Register as multiple meetings in regards to the annexation of Huron Valley school district was taking place. The week of February 4, 1958 saw the Plymouth name return to box scores for the balance of the basketball season.
“Original formation of the Huron Valley School District included Plymouth High school, as well as elementary schools in New Haven, Greenwich and Richmond-tps, but was voided by action of the Ohio Supreme Court. Action of the court returned Plymouth to Richland-co. with restoration of the name “Plymouth High School”, and leaves the Huron Valley district with the three elementary schools. Elimination of Plymouth from the district was followed by action in the form of a petition to the richland-co school board for consolidation of the district with the Willard school system.”
