The name of the school district was Ross Township Local Schools, The buildings in the district were Lark School & Olney School, in the mid 50's a new Lark School & an Olney Elementary were added, in 1963, Northwood High School was added and the 1938 Olney High School became Northwood Middle School, the name of the school district did not formally change to Northwood Local Schools until the late 60's. What I don't know for sure, but understand from others is that the school name change came because of Ross Township transitioning to the Village of Northwood which eventually became the City of Northwood.
